Delete your account

Hanzi King lets signed-in users permanently delete their account and associated cloud learning data.

Delete from the app

1. Open Hanzi King and tap Profile.
2. Sign in if necessary.
3. Scroll to Delete account.
4. Complete any requested reauthentication step.
5. Tap Delete account & cloud data and confirm.

What is deleted

• The Firebase Authentication account.
• Cloud-synced progress, review schedules, streaks, XP, missions, saved cards, quiz history, sessions, writing totals, and custom cards associated with the account.

What may remain

Learning data stored locally on the current device is not removed automatically, so the user can continue as a guest. To remove it, open Settings and choose Reset progress, clear the app’s storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app. Aggregated or de-identified advertising records may be retained by Google under its own policies.

Request deletion without the app

Email ifl.customerstaff@gmail.com with the subject “Hanzi King account deletion request”. Include only the email address used for the Hanzi King account. We may ask you to verify account ownership before completing the request.

Deletion is permanent. A deleted account and its cloud data cannot be restored.
